Teriyaki Sauce

One of my all time favorite foods is teriyaki chicken, and that is mainly due to the teriyaki sauce. I would pump teriyaki sauce through my veins if it was humanly possible. Teriyaki sauce is one of those things that is good for... well... almost everything, so it is always handy to keep around.








 

Ingredients:


- 2 cups water

- 10 tablespoons brown sugar

- 1 tablespoon minced garlic

- 1 teaspoon minced ginger

- 1/2 cup soy sauce

- 3 tablespoons honey*

Recipe:


- Turn the stove to medium high heat.


- Add water to a medium sauce pan and let warm on the burner.


- Add the remaining ingredients, and mix until combined.


- Cook for 5 minutes.


- Turn down the heat to low and let simmer for 5 more minutes.


- If the sauce is too thin for you liking, add a cornstarch and water mixture. This is done by taking 2 parts water to 1 part cornstarch, and mixing, then adding into your foods.


- Add to your favorite meal or save for later in a jar or container, and you're done!
